We highly recommend requesting/obtaining a minimum of three (3) estimates for any construction/repair service. You will find a wide range of estimated costs. The least expensive is not always the best deal. And the costliest not always the finest craftsmanship.
Often times, we (all trades) charge a minimum fee to “show-up.” This is not a penalty, but rather a reasonable consumer expense to get an expert to your home for a service. We recommend customers try to group service/repair items to minimize visits and service fees. For example, if you call because your counter-top outlets are not working, you may want to include in your service request those other items you’ve been “putting off.” Perhaps you can have that pesky switch repaired or those outdated fixtures upgraded during this same visit. This is financially beneficial to you as you will only pay for one service call fee. And, we also appreciate the opportunity to meet as many of your needs as possible in one visit.
